You ask us for a series of reports on subjects as heterogeneous as GRAVITATION, PARAPSYCHOLOGY, ASTRONOMY, PHOTOGRAPHY, and CHILD PSYCHOPEDAGOGY.
This puts us in a real predicament, since you yourself can presume that any specialized monograph in any of those vast fields of science would demand hundreds of pages and a great effort of synthesis.
Our situation, on the other hand, is very delicate, since any datum not known to terrestrials must first be censored by our superior, to whom we are submissive.
Most of the time we must limit ourselves to summarizing certain concepts and descriptions in a very schematic form; the diagrams and graphics must be drawn clumsily so that the risk of an analysis by presumed specialists of Earth is reduced to a minimum. We can only offer you, concerning the physico-chemical and biological sciences, mathematical information at a level accessible to you and on subjects which, although not known to you, cannot constitute a true revolution in the present stage of terrestrial technology.
Thus it is possible that we shall soon send you a small mathematical study on negative gravitational fields (Not at a popular level but truly scientific). You can present this work as unpublished to any terrestrial specialist, but it will not for that reason modify in any transcendental way the present phase of science concerning, for example, the general theory of unification of fields so much desired by you.
Our problem with regard to you is therefore centred on knowing whether, apart from some genuinely scientific work we may send you as proof of our intellectual level, you wish our reports on those suggestive subjects you ask us for to be written at a popular level, like those notes we sent you about UULODOO equipment (PHOTOGRAPHIC CAMERAS), or the reports, written at an even more superficial level, which we periodically send to Mr. Fernando Sesma Manzano.
You are only obliged, unless instructed otherwise, to disclose their reading among your believing friends.
In any case, we repeat to you what our superior in the Iberian peninsula told you in a telephone conversation: DEI 98 son of DEI 97, to whom we are submissive.
Do not forget that this type of belief is regarded with distrust and hostility within certain terrestrial social sectors. Such an attitude on the part of aseptic persons is justified in many cases.
Supporting testimonies in favour of our identity, Mr. Garrido Buendía, may provoke very unpleasant reactions and attitudes for your social and even professional life. We therefore advise you not to insist on defending our reality before certain individuals. Even in an extreme case we would consider it fully justified that you yourself deny the veracity of such contacts, resorting to the argument, as simple as it is vulgar, of attributing to us the character of simple practical jokers or mentally disturbed people. You must, on the other hand, be logical and understand that the whole terrestrial world cannot be asked to believe some assertions which for them are based only on the quick and unanalysed reading of some texts which uncritical minds will identify with passages from those science-fiction novels so much in vogue among terrestrials.
Nor would the sending of serious scientific studies constitute definitive proof, as we have been able to verify when they were sent to specialists of other nations, for they can always be interpreted as brilliant conceptions of other terrestrial scientists who want to hide their identity under an original humour, passing themselves off as EXTRATERRESTRIALS.
You have an example in some sheets of AOXIBOO AGODAA, a product synthesized by us in the colours white and ash green and with a resemblance to terrestrial plastics that is only apparent. This substance offers great resistance to traction (Mr. Sesma Manzano possesses a fragment which was sent to him by a friend, coming from our landing at Aluche, poblado C, Madrid. (6 February 1966)). Well then: Such a substance is unknown to you. Only some governments into whose hands such sheets fell made an analysis of it by means of their specialized departments. However, some professors into whose hands similar samples fell limited themselves to commenting on the "curious" nature of the case and to admitting that they did not know the origin of such a substance. The mere suggestion that it came from distant stars filled them with merriment. Of course one could be ironic about such strange logic, suggesting to them that:
PERHAPS THE GROUP OF MADMEN OR PRACTICAL JOKERS WHO ALL OVER THE WORLD PASS THEMSELVES OFF AS INHABITANTS OF AN UNKNOWN PLANET POSSESS SPECIAL FACTORIES OF MYSTERIOUS SUBSTANCES SUPERIOR TO THE KNOWN PLASTICS, HAVE MYSTERIOUS EQUIPMENT CAPABLE OF REPRODUCING THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGES WITHOUT A BINOCULAR VIEWER; OR DEVOTE THEMSELVES TO CARRYING OUT MATHEMATICAL OR PHYSICAL RESEARCH FOR THE SOLE PLEASURE OF AMUSING THEMSELVES.
But it is not worth your while to exhaust your energies in convincing some unbelievers. On the contrary, if you succeeded you would cause us serious trouble, since in reality we do not desire an attitude of credulity on a terrestrial or macrosocial scale. It is no secret to you that the few persons who have had contact with us constitute a TEST group for our psychosocial studies of terrestrial humanity. In exchange for that service we offer you reports, so we judge that the mutual debt of gratitude we may have contracted is cancelled on both sides.
We therefore invite you to lay aside all hostility towards the persons who identify us as mentally ill, adventurers or specialists in fraud. That would not be charitable and would set you, through our fault, against your brothers, who act in undoubted good faith in refusing to give credit to such an extraordinary matter.
It remains for us to tell you, Mr. Dionisio Garrido Buendía, that we shall send you a series of notes on the subject WHAT IS TRUE ABOUT THE PARAPSYCHOLOGICAL PHENOMENA RECORDED BY YOU?. AND WHAT IS FRAUDULENT IN THEM.
We shall send you a substantial report on the Gravitational Field, and some POPULAR notes on how we use gravitational waves (WHOSE NATURE DIFFERS FROM THAT OF ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES) in the field of communications on UMMO.

HOW DO WE SEE THE PANORAMA OF TERRESTRIAL PARAPSYCHOLOGY IN ITS PRESENT STATE?
First of all we must warn you that the commonplace concept on Earth of parapsychology as such is unknown to us on UMMO. We shall explain this:
You group under the name of Parapsychological phenomena a whole series of observations concerning, for example, Telepathy, Clairvoyance, Precognition, Ectoplasmy. hypnotic Suggestion, Psychotelekinesis etc., trying to offer a scientific explanation of certain reports related to haunted houses, the portentous wonders achieved by the Brahmins of India, the photography of materializations carried out by the spiritualists (FORMERLY SPIRITISTS) or Radiesthesia; among very many other phenomena recorded by terrestrial civilization.
Insofar as those phenomena are only recorded and analysed without there being an AUTHENTIC demonstration of their causes and of the laws that govern them, they cannot be granted the category of PSYCHOLOGICAL, and you must distrust their scientific reality.
That is why terrestrial psychologists refuse to admit a large part of these phenomena. There was, then, no lack of Terrestrial scientists such as Richet, Reichembach, Crookes, Dr. Da Silva, who tried to systematize, analyse and clear of fraud the true phenomena which until then had been contemptuously classified within the occultist doctrines, Magic, Alchemy, Demonology etc., in order to incorporate them into the store of the scientific disciplines.
On this point there is no doubt: if you yourself grant a phenomenon the category of PARAPSYCHOLOGICAL, it is because the Terrestrial scientists themselves distrust its suitability or at least do not know its genesis or its laws, since otherwise it automatically becomes integrated into the Science of Official Psychology. This happened with Hypnosis, whose reality and causes Terrestrial scientists doubted for a long time before admitting it fully at the beginning of this terrestrial century.
This does not mean that the remaining phenomena are fraudulent or unreal, but only that they are in the phase of criticism and study.
An illustrative example, although coming from another sector of knowledge, you have with respect to the so-called U.F.O.s, O.N.I. or more vulgarly, in their Castilian version, FLYING SAUCERS, or more concretely still: this group of men of UMMO who are in contact with dozens of Terrestrial men.
What attitude must terrestrial experts adopt towards our identity, or towards the reality of those cosmic ships seen by thousands of witnesses?
With complete logic the first plausible reaction MUST BE ONE OF PRUDENT SCEPTICISM: That of prior disbelief.
But this DISBELIEF must not present the IMMOBILIST characteristics proper to the person of low mental level (low intelligence quotient) who DENIES SYSTEMATICALLY without troubling to ANALYSE, STUDY, COMPARE and carry out a severe CRITICISM with grounds for Judgement.
A SIMPLE TESTIMONY must not be BELIEVED "A PRIORI" as long as all the POSSIBILITIES OF FRAUD have not been ruled out. Thus, for example, it is not enough for a witness to assert that he has seen a Flying Saucer, without first systematically ruling out the following hypotheses:
The witness lies deliberately in order to play a joke, to obtain an economic benefit or simply out of megalomaniac motivations (such as appearing in the press, being admired by friends etc.).
The witness does not lie deliberately; he is the victim of a delusion of the paranoid type and fabulates freely out of pathological motivations.
The witness, without suffering from any psychopathological factor, or else suffering from one or under the effects of an abnormal psychogenic agent (drugs, gases, terror etc.), falls under the effects of an optical illusion or a hallucination.
The witness attributes to certain technical, meteorological or physical elements in general the characteristics of a mysterious cosmic ship. EXAMPLES: JET AIRCRAFT SOUNDING BALLOONS, AUTOGYROS, MISSILES, AEROLITES, LARGE BIRDS, SPECULAR TURBULENCE PHENOMENA, BALL LIGHTNING (very rare).
The scientist will rightly demand more effective proofs (COLLECTIVE TESTIMONIES), photographs (ANALYSING THEIR NEGATIVES TO DETECT FRAUD).
Analysis of the traces left by the supposed spaceship (ASSESSING THE DEPTH, DYNAMIC LOADS, TEMPERATURES, STATIC STRESSES, etc etc.). One of them not being enough, but all of them being demanded simultaneously to verify its likelihood.
Or else, referring to the Presence of a group of Extraterrestrials mingled among beings of this Planet, it would be inadmissible, or puerile, for a Specialist or even an ordinary person of average intelligence to accept our testimony for the mere fact that we send you some typewritten sheets or some badly drawn drawings made with common brushes or pencils of Earth. Only if those writings have a useful ideological, scientific or technological content must the expert or person with a high intelligence quotient remain in an ATTITUDE OF ACTIVE DOUBT. Requiring new data, demanding new proofs, criticizing acutely and methodically those obscure points whose agreement with the Field of Terrestrial Science is contradictory or suspicious.
ANALYSING ALL THE DETAILS AND ABOVE ALL SYSTEMATICALLY ASSESSING THE WHOLE.
We have given you these examples, of keen interest to you at this moment, so that you make an effort to understand the HEALTHY scepticism of Terrestrial scientists. If we, as representatives of an older and more advanced Civilization, reproach you (although with charitable and understanding indulgence) for a series of evils that afflict the Social Structure of this beautiful Planet, we cannot on the other hand accuse the intellectuals of Earth of adopting these severe attitudes of scepticism towards certain phenomena: "NOT EXHAUSTIVELY DEMONSTRATED".
But do you seriously think that, without those mental barriers set up by Physicists, Biologists, Psychologists and Mathematicians among others, you would have reached this cultural level, however very poor and lacking in Spirituality you may judge it?
If, on account of a popular version concerning a haunted house, the simple testimony of some spectators at a spiritist "séance", an old woman's account of a telepathic experience, the mysterious writings of some presumed extraterrestrial beings or the simple narration of the witnesses who saw the little "chela" directed by a "saddhu" of Hindustan climb up a rope, scientists hastened to grant them the character of real phenomena, you can imagine the abundance of impostors, of deluded people, of psychically ill people who would claim to be included in the History of Science.
All that brushwood would hinder the slow but progressive advance of Psychophysiology. Terrestrial scientists have learned their lesson well from the false mediums, the hysterical individuals, the countless illuminati who have peopled your Planet.
It is true that this reticent attitude, distrustful to the utmost, runs the risk of underrating, minimizing, and leaving unanalysed certain phenomena truly worthy of study. That is why we invite you never to adopt dogmatic attitudes.
NEITHER A FANATICAL ATTITUDE OF CREDULITY WHEN EFFECTIVE PROOFS ARE LACKING,
NOR THE POSITION OF SYSTEMATIC CREDULITY ADOPTED BY CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS OF LOW LEVEL OF INTELLIGENCE, REFUSING TO CARRY OUT ANALYSES FREE OF PREJUDICES.
That is why the objective and intelligent man must never let himself be carried away by discouragement when, after having verified time and again that a medium is an impostor, he feels the temptation to abandon the study.
A marvellous example is offered by you terrestrials in the case of TELEPATHIC phenomena.
For many years the "Society for Psychical Research" of London collected thousands of data, accounts and analyses concerning telepathic experiences undergone by persons of diverse social position and educational or professional level.
The results were discouraging, as the very Psychologists who classified and studied such an enormous amount of material confess. The percentage of frauds, of accounts whose only basis lay in the eagerness of certain hysteroid persons to emerge from their anonymity and grey existence by revealing supposed extraordinary phenomena, was so overwhelming that the specialists were on the point of describing Telepathy as a myth, similar to necromancy.
But there arises the school of Dr. Rhine, using mathematical statistical techniques and rigorous scientific control; which crystallized in a rediscovery of Telepathy, used today with great reserve by the General Staffs of the United States and the Soviet Union, starting from the famous experiments on the Submarine "Nautilus" which you learned about at the time through the Press.
What would have happened if, discouraged and disgusted by the practical jokers, the alienated, the paramnesiacs, and so many other spongers and mythomaniacs who claimed to possess telepathic faculties, the scientists had closed their "dossiers" and abandoned the field?

On our arrival on Planet Earth, and after going through a series of vicissitudes until we adapted to the terrestrial language and civilization, we began a series of studies on your Culture.
Logically this field of embryonic Science attracted our attention. Certain phenomena called by you Parapsychological or Metapsychic, such as Telepathy, were very familiar to us, and we smiled understandingly on reading the explanations of that phenomenon offered by the specialized Psychiatrists of Duke University.
But we came across descriptions and phenomena such as Ectoplasmic Regurgitation or Spiritist Photography which filled us with astonishment because they were totally unknown on Planet UMMO.
A group of brothers headed by YOA 6, son of UNOO 532, immediately began their studies, travelling to New Delhi and Boston. These were the beginnings of a study which has concluded with a provisional report sent to the research section of the UMMOAELEWE of UMMO.
Throughout these coming reports we shall summarize for you our point of view regarding certain mysterious phenomena analysed. The explanations accompanied by graphics, the reality and the Fiction, the Fraud and the scientific rigour of many of these experiments will be described from OUR EXCLUSIVE POINT OF VIEW. ![]()

THE PHENOMENA OF MATERIALIZATION. ECTOPLASMY.
The first references we found to the phenomenon of ectoplasmy were located by us in a Library in Paris, going through a collection of the REVUE MÉTAPSYCHIQUE polygraphed by René Warcollier. Our brothers settled in France were still unaware of many things about Terrestrial Civilization, and a large part of terrestrial research on the Psychological Sciences was familiar to us. Our objective was centred on assessing to what level you had gone deeply into these studies.
A reference to the experiments carried out by Dr. GELEY with the medium Franek Kluski (We have since read the work of this specialist (L'Ectoplasmie et la Clairvoyance)) filled our brothers with astonishment. We had never known on UMMO a Phenomenon so extraordinary. At last we found on Planet Earth a discovery which, despite our old culture, our specialists in BIEEWIGUU (PSYCHOBIOLOGY) had not managed to verify (On UMMO every study of the mental behaviour of living beings is brought together under that name).
As we do not know to what extent you yourselves know the present state of terrestrial criteria concerning Ectoplasmy, we shall begin by summarizing them; we shall then inform you of our own experiments and at the end we shall set out our point of view.
We shall first describe some facts studied and then accompany them with the explanations offered by Parapsychologists and by the Spiritualist Doctrine (Formerly Spiritism).
Various analyses carried out by Richet, Geley, Crookes and Crawford, among others, show how a Medium in a state of trance is capable of REGURGITATING, that is, of EMITTING, sometimes through the mouth, through the belly, the breasts, the anus, the eyes and even between the legs, a strange SUBSTANCE in the form of fluidic, nebulous and whitish filaments, which can sometimes be weighed, can always be photographed, is capable of causing Tension and Compression Stresses on bodies, of even lifting tables and of adopting the most curious forms.
Sometimes ECTOPLASMY adopts the morphology of a narrow serpentine band that drags itself along the floor before the excited expectation of those attending the Session.
At other times it is a subtle thread capable of holding up small objects (This form we have not managed to verify. We have seen it described in the summit Treatise of Dr. RICHET (Traité de Métapsychique) with regard to the Polish medium Stanislawa Tomczyk, See Page 557.)
But in a large part of the Experiments described in the Treatises of EARTH, and verified at the Sessions at which my brothers have been Witnesses, the Ectoplasmy presented pseudo-forms of human limbs. Heads, feet, hands, and even female breasts.
We were greatly impressed by an experiment carried out by Doctors Richet and Geley which was carried out several times around the following materialization (We describe one of them).
In a room the following elements were arranged: See the corresponding furniture shown in Image 1)

At the end of the room an armchair for the MEDIUM; near it a switch of the electric circuit for an incandescent lamp. About seven metres away, next to the opposite wall, a table on which an electric stove is placed, perfectly covered to prevent the faint glow of its resistance from affecting the room.
On it a container full of melted paraffin. A product whose melting point, as you know, is almost as low as that of certain stearates, waxes etc.
The scientists having taken care to add to the melted paraffin a secret chemical indicator that would allow it to be identified after the experiment, "thus avoiding any form of fraud".
The room was closed hermetically, leaving inside it the MEDIUM with the two observers. It had previously been verified that it was impossible for any person to enter the enclosure, or through walls, doors, ceilings and floor.
The MEDIUM sits down and asks for the lamp to be switched off. Immediately afterwards she invites each of them, taking them by the sleeves of their shirts, to hold fast the sleeves of the medium herself.
A spiritist chant begins, led by the medium, who invites the two scientists to continue it even after she (having entered a state of TRANCE) stops singing the hymn.
After about five minutes some noise is heard at the far end of the room; the darkness is absolute. A good while later (assessed at the end of the experiment as about forty minutes) the MEDIUM wakes up, asks them to let go of her sleeves and to switch on the electric bulb immediately afterwards.
On the table, beside the paraffin container, there appear two perfect moulds of a woman's hand and a child's hand (BOTH of the RIGHT hand) cast in paraffin, revealing the imprint of the fingerprints of a person other than the MEDIUM. It was impossible to make the mould by immersing the hand in hot paraffin, taking it out afterwards and, after letting the film cool, getting free of it, unless a longitudinal cut were made dividing it into two halves, to be stuck together again afterwards. An examination under the microscope revealed that such a cut had not been made, and that the mould was therefore in a single piece. Moreover the MEDIUM could not easily bring such somewhat voluminous moulds into the room. She had been searched beforehand outside by a woman graduate in medicine, and such fragile moulds would have broken during her palpations.
On the other hand the specialists had held her by the shirt during the session. Fraud was almost "impossible" according to the scholars who carried out the analysis.
We, the brothers of UMMO settled here, had this and other documents (Of course much more explicit and meticulous than the account we have extracted for you) concerning many other experiments on ectoplasmic regurgitation. It seemed evident that the hand of a spirit had materialized, been introduced into the paraffin and dematerialized again.
All this was surprising to us. Our Science has revealed the existence of the BUUWAA (SOUL), but it is even puerile to imagine that dimensionless spirit provided with arms and hands ready to be soaked in paraffin at the command of a woman. In spite of everything, we do not deny the hypotheses or the plausibility of the experiments of others. Only, we are in the habit of periodically reviewing such experiments in order to corroborate periodically their validity. A great many times it has happened to us on our Planet that, when empirical techniques (which formerly reached a respectable degree of reliability) were perfected, we ended up verifying how, on applying them again to the testing of apparent laws, these collapsed.
With all the more reason we wished to verify the experiments of you terrestrials.
In the year 1959 we had occasion to redo the experiment we have described to you. (Long before, we had carried out other similar ones with various MEDIUMS) Our brothers GIIA 64 daughter of GIIA 63 and AARAA 7 son of UEWEE 91 located in the United States the medium Mrs. Mc 'Lean, who agreed to reproduce the said materialization phenomenon.
Our brothers arranged with a spiritist circle in Los Angeles for the Session to be held. They introduced themselves as two convinced spiritualists (spiritists), Norwegian Doctors.
The experiment was also carried out in complete darkness. Our brothers secretly brought in a double UULODOO camera, each sensitive to the frequencies included between the ranges 3.7·10^12 to 4.6·10^13 cycles per second (INFRARED) and 7.9·10^14 to 8.2·10^15 cycles per second (ULTRAVIOLET). The equipment was completed by a frequency generator corresponding to the range mentioned above. The moving images were recorded on a XANMOO with titanium memory.
Later examination of the images revealed the fraud perfectly, and our brothers, even in the darkness, observed the trick of Mrs. Mc 'Lean, who by a skilful manoeuvre, thinking that the suggestion exerted by the chant and the mystery of the moment would prevent our brothers from exercising their critical spirit, made them take hold of each other's shirt sleeves, as if they believed they were holding her.
The MEDIUM went to the table and took from inside her knickers three gauntlets which, although the photographic examination did not allow their composition to be identified, were seen to be perfectly elastic (perhaps they were rubber). That woman inflated them one by one with her mouth, dipped them in the melted paraffin, and took them out repeatedly, waiting for the various successive films to cool.
It is curious to observe the gestures of uneasiness which, in spite of the darkness, she let show, looking (without seeing) in the direction where our brothers, pretending not to notice anything, were facing the empty chair.
Once the crust of paraffin on the glove had some thickness, the medium deflated it and left the mould on the table. The papillae corresponding to the fingerprints had been obtained on the elastic glove with a previous plaster mould of a natural hand, which then served to make the glove for the fraud.
Our brothers pretended to be satisfied with the experiment of ectoplasmic materialization. Another thirty-two experiments carried out in Mexico, the United States and England have shown us that all the materializations were carried out with similar subterfuges. The MEDIUMS used gauze and muslin attached to an extensible steel wire. An English Medium used polyurethane foam impregnated with a fluorescent substance. On two occasions she used a common mercury compound which has the property of expanding with a spongy structure.
The results, as can be seen, were negative. In spite of our efforts we have not obtained a single case of real ectoplasmic materialization. And although a restricted range of failed experiments does not definitively prove the non-existence of such a phenomenon, it makes us think that, if you did not have the technical means of detecting fraud with which we have counted, the conclusions of the old metapsychists are all the less reliable. Our opinion is corroborated by the present North American parapsychologists, who severely criticize the reality of Ectoplasmy.
On the other hand, the explanation that many terrestrials give of materialization is insufficient and unsatisfactory. How can a dimensionless entity transform itself into a dimensional one...?
All the explanations speculated upon lack inconsistency [Thus, "inconsistency" in the original, although "consistency" would have been logical] and seem to us more than naive. Show us a single real case of ectoplasmy and we shall accept it. Even the experiments of Crawford, Professor of Applied Mechanics at the Municipal Technical Institute of Belfast, carried out with the MEDIUM Miss Goligher, reveal the inconsistency of such a theory.
All these failures must not discourage specialists from the study of parapsychological phenomena. Throughout these pages we shall reveal to you frauds not known even by the scientists of Earth. Thus in the next report we shall disclose to you how we unmasked the way in which some Hindus perform the famous session of the rope that stands up in the air while a boy climbs it.
But such a mass of impostures does not prevent authentic and genuine parapsychological phenomena from appearing from time to time, which even we are seriously analysing. Extreme scepticism is as irrational as the fanatical credulity of some terrestrial persons, who admit without the least critical spirit all the old wives' tales and legends their friends and relatives relate about surprising phenomena they claim to have witnessed.

HOW DO WE SEE THE PARAPSYCHOLOGY OF PLANET EARTH ?
THE SO-CALLED MAGICAL PHENOMENA OF INDIA.
In 1957 our brother YOA 6 son of UNOO 532 received the order to go first to New Delhi and then to Hyderabad to carry out a broad study of some mysterious phenomena performed by the fakirs of India.
The truth is that the strange mentality of the men of Earth disconcerted us brothers from Planet UMMO. From the moment we assimilated some languages (French and English were the first we managed to practise), the rich range of thought, of myths, of contradictory accounts; the exuberance of forms of conduct and customs linked to the different cultures of this Planet, disconcerted and even discouraged us at first.
We were arriving on a Planet which in principle we judged to have a cultural and scientific level lower or higher than that reached on UMMO; at least the unification of Religion, of Thought, of customs would make study and analysis easier for us. There is no doubt that in presuming those social conditions of yours we were applying an egocentric criterion, thinking that the Terrestrial Social Network would resemble ours, except in the degree of its cultural store.
We immediately realized the error of our premature judgement. The mental dissociation of terrestrial man, caused by biological, social and historical and even geographical factors, was already evident to us. Against a not inconsiderable mass of truths and realities scientifically understood by a small number of terrestrial intellectuals and scientists, superstition, myth, the vulgar version of biological, psychological and physical-scientific laws divide and fragment the Social Network of this Planet.
I remember that when we read in various printed publications the immense series of beliefs in certain mysterious phenomena, we were perplexed. How were we to separate, among so many accounts, the REAL from the FICTION? We established a methodical plan of study so as not to get lost in the twisting byways of that host of gratuitous assertions about "mystery"
And we selected, from the forest of accounts, those whose content has reached the widest diffusion among terrestrials.
The practices of YOGA, and the surprising phenomena of BURIAL alive, instantaneous Flowering of plants, the ability to walk on embers or incandescent ashes, levitation, bilocation etc etc, powerfully attracted our attention.
On 12 February 1957 YOA 6 and a subordinate brother UURIO 79 son of IYIAA 5 arrived in Hyderabad, to travel to some villages bordering the river Godavary, where according to news taken from reliable sources it was possible to find some Hindus capable of repeating these effects. Unforeseen difficulties arose, however. Our brothers were travelling with passports made out in the name of supposed Irish citizens, and the authorities of the Capital must have noticed some irregularity, for they requested information by telephone from the Embassy of Eire. He had to flee the hotel, evading the vigilance of the police after destroying in our luggage the scientific material they were carrying with them, and return after several incidents to Singapore, to attempt a new operation, which was carried out this time without hindrance as far as Sholapur (provided with new suitable technical equipment).
We had references as to how, in synthesis, the marvel of the "Hindu" enchanted rope was performed. We had even read an account by a certain Johann Weyer, who in the 16th century published a little book entitled "Prestiges of the demons". We knew that a famous North American conjurer, Howard Thurston, went to India expressly in the year 1920 to look for a fakir who would agree to teach him how to perform the effect. He was not able to watch even a single session. Queen Victoria of England, although very interested in witnessing the surprising phenomenon, did not manage either, on her journey to the Continent, to see her wish satisfied, even though the occupation authorities sent hundreds of sepoys to various villages to persuade the most qualified natives. The failure was attributed to the hatred the Hindus felt for the English ruler.
A report by the United States journalist Mr. Keel, published in the magazine "Argosy", attempting to reveal the secret, attracted our brothers' attention. The writer had not been able to witness the trick, but speculated in a very naive way about the possible explanations, which seemed to us unconvincing.
Our brothers classified much more documentary material, without a single one of the studies, reports and analyses offering a plausible hypothesis. Some conjurers suggested timidly that perhaps the explanation might lie in a fine cable suspended between two trees holding up the rope. The argument was weak if we read the accounts of how the trick was performed, sometimes on open ground where the nearest tree was 40 metres away (Case of E. Laigher 1903).
Were we facing a genuine case of supernatural power unknown on Planet UMMO and within the reach of terrestrials? We do not understand how no important scientist of Earth troubled to study such a suggestive case seriously. This is the first time we reveal to you men of Earth a secret carefully kept by the Hindu Saddhus. A document similar to this one we are sending to Dionisio Garrido Buendía was written in the German language in an attempt to get in touch with the directors of the International Congress of Conjuring held on 27 to 31 August in Vienna. Year 1958. The previous telephone calls to Mr. Hans Trunk, President of the Magischer Club Wien, were deplorable. Our brother sent to Vienna decided not to send a report in which the scientific explanation of 16 Phenomena of this kind was offered.
The accounts circulating about the celebrated terrestrial trick of the Hindu Rope are varied. Contrary to what is commonly believed, it is not fakirs who usually perform it most frequently (In reality this name is only correct for the Muslim ascetic), but the Hindustani ascetics or Saddhus.
read the "modus operandi" carefully. As it is REALLY performed and as our brothers recorded it. I have before me a very detailed sound-and-image description which, since it would be excessively meticulous and technical for you, I translate into popular language.
As I cannot accompany the account with the photographs taken from 600 metres and 233 metres of altitude by means of our UULUEWA (Spherical equipment about 2.19 centimetres in diameter, provided with a UULOODOO camera (electrostatic Photography) with magnetodynamic propulsion, which can rise to a height of 0.1 KOAE to obtain views similar to those you call photogrammetric) and pick up sounds.
As in a first attempt our brothers failed by passing themselves off as Irish tourists, which provoked the natural distrust of the natives, on 2 April 1957 they presented themselves in another village dressed and made up as Pakistani agents of a commercial Firm specialized in the export of Tea, passing through on their way to Madras, "who since childhood had been curious to witness the enchantment of the rope".
For four days they spent the nights in the little village waiting for an old saddhu whose son went personally to look for him. He was not really a genuine saddhu, but the other two who lived near the river were not capable of performing the wonder. A good payment in pounds sterling encouraged those good people.
Towards eight in the morning of 7 April 1957 the Saddhu, his two sons, the Government Delegate in the village, and 22 natives, men, women and young children, accompanied our brothers to a place situated 1.8 km away. They explained to them that it was an area where the old man used to withdraw to meditate.
The UULUEWA followed them at about 800 m above their heads, without their naive companions noticing it.
I enclose for you a rough tracing of one of the photographs. The crosses are reference IBOZOO (POINTS), which in the original are marked with a code number. A geological study carried out secretly revealed a structure of slates and very cracked sandstones. The layer you call phreatic was at a great depth.
The very stony ground, with very abundant gravel, had uncultivated vegetation. A small wood lay about thirty-six metres from the point where we sat down. "The saddhu invited us to settle ourselves in an arc, asking us not, for anything, and whatever we might see, to stand up, come closer or run away..." "He took off his dirty tunic and went forward with two of his grandsons to about ten metres from where we were" (YOA 6 son of UNNOO 532, our brother, is speaking).
The "saddhu" and his "chela" prostrated themselves on the ground to pray; his other grandson returned to where our brothers were. "A son of the saddhu meanwhile gave us the rope to examine." (our brother relates) URIOO 79 had placed in his ring the terminal cell of a UAXOOGOINNUU (Detector used by us to record the nature and topological characteristics of hidden solid bodies). Our brother passed the whole rope (about 13 metres, roughly plaited, about 4 centimetres thick) through his hands. They were astonished to observe that there was nothing inside it, which demolished a hypothesis they had formed.
"The spectators sang songs meanwhile. The government delegate, a kind of mayor and administrator, sang in the company of other natives who knew it the Anthem of Pakistan in our honour, while we greeted the gesture with reverence."
"However (our brother continues to relate), pretending to be distracted, we observed attentively all the movements of the boy who took away the rope. We expected it to be changed by means of some trick. But surprisingly nothing of the sort happened. The Saddhu remained prostrate. His chela put down the heavy coil and arranged it in front of everyone, moving aside some small stones and pulling up some plants that hindered the view. He coiled the thick rope again, forming a right-handed cylinder whose diameter the secretly obtained images revealed to be 54 centimetres, with a height of 32 centimetres. The knotted end of the rope was placed in the centre of the coil." (Image 1).

For some Uiw the Saddhu did not move. His chela, like him, stayed about two metres from the rope. At last he sat up, put his hands to the nape of his neck and stared at the coil... His lips did not move. Some cries of admiration were heard when the knot of the rope began to emerge from the centre of the coil. It rose, swaying slightly, slowly, at an almost constant speed. About seven metres in 4.37 minutes. One could see perfectly how the rope was uncoiling inwards and at the same time rising slowly.
The old man did not move, remaining with the boy at that same distance. At last the rising stopped. He waited about two more minutes, and then with a gesture gave an order to the boy, who, stepping forward, climbed nimbly up the cable while it swayed with deflections at its upper end of the order of 40 centimetres, as the images obtained reveal. Then the boy came down. The Saddhu again looked from afar at the rope, which slowly descended. One could see how a loop was at the same time forming at ground level. The rope was now piling up without order or regular coiling as it descended. The Saddhu went forward, looked for the knotted end and invited us all to come forward. The hubbub prevented us (our brother relates) from making a meticulous examination, but we verified that the rope was exactly the same."
Our brothers confess that they returned perplexed with the bystanders. They had attended many spiritist sessions, discovering many frauds. They had specialized in terrestrial techniques of Conjuring and illusionism, and thought that without the help of the auxiliary equipment they could discover the fraud.
You men of Earth usually shape in your psyche the instinctive longing for mystery. We would need many sheets to make a scientific analysis of this psychological phenomenon. But there is an evident correlation between the lack of scientific training and the unconscious desire that natural facts should adopt a form you call magical.
When the man of Earth does not have enough intelligence to discover by himself the essence of the laws that govern our WAAM (Universe), when his wit is not capable of carrying out serious technical studies that would establish him before his contemporaries with the rank of Philosopher, scientist..., when his mental capacity is not capable of carrying out even some fundamental studies of higher mathematics, he feels inferior, passed over by society. Unconscious defence mechanisms appear which impel him to make himself known, and to feel popular, admired by the other members of Society. This attitude is, we repeat, SUBCONSCIOUS; we cannot call those poor persons liars (except in a few cases). They suggest to themselves that they are men and women endowed with strange powers. Phenomena which for any Physicist, Psychologist, Conjurer or mathematician are perfectly explicable if he could analyse them carefully take on for them the character of the magical, of the supernatural.
They take delight in relating them, duly exaggerating them, surrounding them with an aura of mystery to impress the bystanders. Any student of the calculus of probabilities knows how easy it is, among a million different events, for one of them to adopt a curious form. There will then be no lack of a person with a hysteroid mentality who attributes to that event a supernatural and magical character.
They call magical everything they do not know, just as your ancestors attributed a magical character to lightning and to eclipses of the Sun. Observe how the most superstitious persons are found among individuals lacking university studies. All of you have heard surprising accounts of premonitions, of visions, of miraculous cures, of cases of Levitation, of ghostly apparitions... Observe the persons who narrate those surprising facts. If they are asked questions of elementary Physics, of Mathematics, of Physiology, of fundamental Medicine, they do not know what to answer. Incapable of excelling in sectors of culture that demand a high intelligence quotient and a great critical spirit, they wish to make their friends admire them by passing themselves off as protagonists and witnesses of those surprising facts. If they cannot answer the most naive questions about the Physical and Cosmological sciences: How could they analyse those events so as to rule out every possibility of natural explanation...?
For those persons the thought that the magical and the supernatural form part of their lives constitutes a true drug. They live happily thus, without realizing that such ideas are alienating. You possess a beautiful evangelical phrase, "Only the Truth will make you free". You have not measured the marvellous scientific meaning of this phrase. Magic and superstition are other factors which, on taking hold of the terrestrial social network, make it unhappy. If you went on following the magical practices of savage healers, the mortality rate would go on being extremely high.
We know how much these phrases will hurt certain persons who cling to that marvellous world of dreams. Apparently there is a singular beauty in thinking that something mysterious and magical is hidden behind certain events. Apparently you believe that life has no meaning if we do not believe in magic. You think just like the individual addicted to LSD (Lysergic acid) who, immersed in the terrifying world of hallucinations, will not want to leave it even if the drug destroys his brain. He is a slave to his habit.
You do not realize that the most marvellous "magic" is found precisely in Nature, in the Laws of the WAAM which neither you nor even we have yet discovered. But to reach them, STUDY, the EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS of the laboratory, is necessary. The easy path of superstition, magic and naive mystery will lead you into a blind alley. You yourselves have witnessed on Planet Earth that the magical verbiage of the alchemists did not at all lead them to discover the philosopher's stone that would turn lead into gold. Only the scientists specialized in Nuclear Physics managed, cleanly and without fraud, to carry out that transmutation.
There is still an immense store of marvellous laws and principles generated by WOA (GOD) to be discovered. Charlatans take advantage of this to call those unknown principles "magical", and they continually confuse things by mixing them with accounts full of fantasy, like those attributed to the fakirs. Many travellers told that the Saddhu "made the chela climb to the end of the rope: then the boy disappeared into the air. The ascetic burned the rope and from its ashes his little assistant appeared again."
You see the difference between a narration told by an ignorant person, a lover of mystery and magic, who unconsciously exaggerates the real event, and the strictly scientific version offered by the expert or the scientist, who objectively narrates the facts with precision, keeping to reality.... Of course it is more "beautiful" to believe a poetic lie than to carry out some cold calculations with a computer.
Our brothers took their leave that same afternoon and pretended to return to the capital. In reality they went to the place where the surprising phenomenon had taken place, waited for it to get dark and began their first examination of the ground.
The area analysed presented as its most marked tectonic feature a small fault about three hundred metres away. They prepared the small recoverable XOIMMA UGII they had available. This equipment is unknown to you. And we possess a few on Earth for our studies. Its shape is that of an ellipsoid of revolution. The equipment used on our planet is much larger. The device is provided with a multiple generator of frequencies included in the range of 5.1020 cycles per second, apart from some detectors of Temperature, magnetic Field intensity and gravitational Field.
The apparatus is controlled by a beam of frequency = 6.77.1020 cycles/sec. It is placed on the ground and around it there begins to be generated a gaseous layer of GOONNIAOADOO (You would call it PLASMA). The very high temperature of the outer films of this magnetically controlled crust of Plasma, capable of vaporizing silica, makes the device sink into the various layers of strata of the ground as a hot coin would sink into a bar of ice. (See IMAGE 2).

IMAGE 2 IMAGE 2A
Once buried at depths of the order of fifty or a hundred metres, it is controlled so that it moves horizontally (IMAGE 2A), occupying a series of points corresponding to an ideal network, from which it emits a truncated-cone beam of waves (frequencies mentioned) capable of passing through the various strata. Simultaneously a UULUEWA situated in the air at a height of 20 or 30 metres picks up, at as many points of the network, the pulses emitted by the equipment, which sends them from that great depth (image 2A)
The system bears a certain resemblance to the radiometallographic apparatus used by you on this Planet to examine metals with Roentgen rays. The difference lies in the fact that instead of using a gigantic screen to record the radiograph of the ground, an aerial exploring element scans all the points of the ideal image, recording them and integrating them in a Titanium crystal memory, which will finally give us a three-dimensional view of the interior of the explored Terrestrial crust with all its internal features, obtained thanks to their contrast of opacities to the passage of these radiations. One can thus discover veins of minerals, pockets or currents of water and hydrocarbons, boulders or buried rocks, buried tunnels and pipes, ruins of prehistoric cities, and various objects of diameter greater than five centimetres. (With miniature equipment like that used by our brothers in India.)
The examination of the ground revealed a first stratum of garnet-bearing mica schists and crystallized limestone, with a high density (in the deepest zone) of micaceous slates. The outermost layer, made up of slates decomposed into true clays, had vegetation not rich in varieties.
While during the last UIW of the afternoon the equipment carried out the exploration, our brothers located the exact point where the Saddhu had had the rope placed. The uprooted plants were still there and the steps of the spectators were marked. There seemed to be nothing abnormal, although the examination was made with suitable lighting. A rough pin, which must surely have been dropped by one of those present in the morning (for it showed no signs of oxidation), was the only thing they could find. A surface of about four square metres was nevertheless photographed, and 16 soil samples were collected corresponding to as many points of an ideal grid network in the same place where the coil of rope had been placed. Earlier, in the morning, vegetable fibres had been pulled from it, and of course the recordings made of its interior while our brothers pretended to examine it lazily were preserved.
It was not possible to examine and check all the information material obtained that day. YOA 6 and UURIO 79 returned a few days later to SINGAPORE, where our former chief of the men of UMMO settled on planet Earth was then living.
The results filled us with astonishment: the analysis of the surface photographs of the area, the recordings of the interior of the rope, the chemical analysis of the few fibres obtained from it, the soil samples and much less the pin were of no use. They were of no use, but the examination of the internal geological structure of the area revealed the fraud perfectly and clearly.

IMAGE 3
Three galleries, roughly shored up with timber, starting from the nearby small wood, could be perfectly made out (image 3).
The drawing we enclose expresses perfectly how the trick was performed. Of the three galleries, one reached to two metres (1) below where the rope was placed. Surely the other galleries were intended to allow the trick to be repeated at other points without arousing suspicion.
(1) Image 4 is not drawn to scale [handwritten]
A successive series of images sufficiently illustrates, without need of words, the sequence of phases of the operation (image 4).

From the underground gallery, a secret assistant waits for the little chela to introduce the end of the rope through one of the tubes leading to the surface. Helping himself with a wire hook B, he takes hold of the knot and pulls it.
Simultaneously he raises the iron bar D, buried in A, covered with plaited fibre to imitate the rope C. The spectators do not see the operation because the coil of rope prevents it, but they observe how the rope uncoils (Pulled by the underground assistant) and how "it" rises into the air. (What really rises is the iron bar covered with vegetable fibre of the same colour).
When the bar has been raised to the maximum, the assistant anchors it with a hook E (see image) to another transverse wooden beam F. The chela can now climb up without danger.
Now that you know, you will think it is too easy and will be disappointed. The Illusionism tricks that terrestrial conjurers usually perform also usually have a simple basis. However, we have not read a single explanation of the famous rope effect, and our brothers themselves did think of a fraud; but supposing it much more complex, believing that the subterfuge would lie in the very rope the Saddhu would show. Perhaps a chemical substance capable of hardening it instantaneously, perhaps a secret device which, placed in the knot, would make it rise by magnetic procedures... But the reality was simpler, though no less ingenious. If all the ingenuity you terrestrials have wasted on deceiving your brothers had been used to organize society better....

Continuation THE CHARMING OF SNAKES.
On 17 September 1957 our brother settled on OYAGAA (planet EARTH) YOA 6 son of UNNOO 532, accompanied by EMEE 48 son of EMMEE 44, arrived at a village near AHMADABAD.
On earlier dates the first of the said brothers had entered India with definite study missions. The first to analyse certain supposed parapsychological phenomena and the second to prepare a report on the development of TANTRA, as well as the analysis of the BHUTASUDDHI or purification (SHUDDHI) of the five elements (bhuta) that make up the body, an indispensable requirement in every Tantric rite. The internal motivations of a subconscious type underlying these practices of Tantra are of enormous importance to us, for in them there appears in all its purity a neurocortical reaction called by us OOGOOIAA IXWEE, which sheds considerable light on the behaviour of terrestrial OEMII under the effects of the suggestion provoked by religious liturgies.
This time, however, the objective was similar to that of the first of the journeys. Our brothers landed in the then Portuguese colony of Goa, and crossed the colonial frontier in the direction of Bombay and from there to AHMADABAD.
Our brothers carried Finnish passports, presenting themselves as consular agents of Finland in a Portuguese city on a pleasure trip to Damão, Goa and Pakistan.
Three concrete objectives guided our brothers in an attempt to interpret such phenomena. One of them was concretely to resolve what truth there might be in one of the oldest Hindu traditions regarding snake charmers.
In this city (AHMADABAD) they held telephone conversations with an English dealer in household appliances, presenting themselves as OEMII of UMMO. This dealer, a Graduate in Mathematics, later received a series of reports on the Theory of Processes and Boolean Algebra which surprised him greatly. Without coming to accept that our brothers were really inhabitants of a distant Planet, he showed his gratitude by providing a series of very valuable data thanks to which it was possible to make a short journey to one of the small neighbouring towns and get in touch with two SHAGAT (A kind of Fakirs) who earned their living performing various surprising effects, such as swallowing molten lead and frogs, eating glass (we later learned that it was in reality transparent sheets of sugar candy) and putting their hands into a box full of scorpions.
On 19 September 1957 several local people gathered with our brothers and a Portuguese companion who acted as interpreter, since our brothers pretended not to know the dialect of the country, although YOA 6 was a specialist in Hindu semantics at that time.
The little square where the performance was held was situated at one end of the village. Very badly paved with limestone, with abundant mud from the recent rains; one of the SHAGAT came forward with a large basket woven with a fibre similar to common jute, coming from a liliaceous plant of the genus Corchorus very abundant in that region.
Not very far away there was a fountain that served as a drinking trough for animals. Our brothers secretly obtained images not only of the fountain but of the surroundings. They took soil samples, which showed a high percentage of silt, cow dung residues and sand with a high level of quartz.
One of our UULUEWAA had been launched beforehand, keeping at a level of 940 metres above the ground (These are spheriform devices capable of recording sounds and registering optical images that can be enlarged in three dimensions). Our brother says in his report:
"Early in the afternoon the SHAGAT sat down on the ground with his basket and began to pray with his arms crossed, his eyes half-open, murmuring words that were unintelligible. We were watching the scene from a distance of approximately 14 metres. Beside us the other Shagat looked at us with curiosity. Two local people were listening to music on a transistor radio and several almost naked children were playing with the mud. We pretended to chat and read a Portuguese magazine published in Goa, but without ceasing to observe the bystanders".
After forty minutes the praying SHAGAT stood up and addressed the spectators, who sat down looking at him in silence. The "fakir" came closer to show his basket. It had a shape approximating to the section we present in the figure

Our brothers, without the Shagat noticing, pulled some fibres from the basket as soon as he left them the container to examine. From inside he took out a piece of esparto rope, which he showed to the bystanders. One of our brothers asked permission to put his hand in and examine the pieces of rope one by one, taking advantage of this again to pull off some small fragments.
The SHAGAT, once our brothers' distrustful curiosity was satisfied, withdrew again to the vicinity of the fountain. He left the basket on the ground and squatted down, putting his hands on his cheeks.
Then he began to whistle rhythmically. He modulated the whistle rhythmically so that the fundamental harmonic of 750 cycles per second fluctuated in level three times a minute, by about 0.5 decibels. The complete phonogram, broken down into its main harmonics, is still kept by us as a souvenir of that date.
Everyone could observe in astonishment how the pieces of rope straightened up inside, came out of the basket and wriggled slowly, dragging themselves through the mud and approaching the SHAGAT, standing erect from time to time, to return at the end into the basket.
They were the same pieces of rope that had been examined minutes before. There was no doubt that there was nothing inside them, since they had been carefully analysed.
As if that were not proof enough, the rope-charming individual again offered the basket to our brothers, who cut the ropes one by one without finding anything abnormal.
At night the photographs (UULAYA) obtained with the help of the UULUEWAA were examined. Unfortunately the images were out of phase and did not allow what happened inside the basket to be analysed well. However, the movements of the ropes could be appreciated with great precision. They seemed deformed in their cross-section. The wriggling movements were not abrupt, as would have happened if a device such as an invisible thread or rods hidden in the sand had been used. On the other hand the absence of such threads was clear, since the enlargement of the images would have revealed cables or fibres of a calibre greater than 0.0006 terrestrial millimetres. One could see, however, that the ends of the pieces of rope were very frayed and wet. A careful examination even revealed twistings in the cords and rhythmic contractions which could not easily be produced by an underground control of the ropes, unless that control were very complex (of at least 438 information channels, which would have meant for the SHAGAT a true electronic computer connected by means of at least 437 electrical conductors or 438 mechanical connection cables). On the other hand the images revealed long displacements of the cords (One of them crawled like a real snake for nearly 7 metres) without any control cables being seen coming out of the ground.
Control by electromagnetic waves had to be rejected for several reasons. In the first place it was unlikely that a humble Hindu would have such perfect control equipment. Moreover no appreciable levels of such frequencies were recorded by our UULUEWA over the whole range of medium waves down to centimetric waves. As if that were not enough, our brothers, on examining the cords before and after the experiment, took good care to try to detect foreign bodies, metallic or not, inside the esparto weave, without observing anything abnormal. It was not possible in that way to obtain such movements by using magnetic fields; and on the other hand fraud was very difficult, since it was perfectly observed that the fakir put the basket gently on the ground without putting his hands in, and then moved away about 2.3 terrestrial metres, remaining still while he whistled.
That was truly surprising. The ground was examined that same night with no positive result. The tracks of the crawling of the ropes had disappeared. The fraud was not detected. In spite of everything a hypothesis was worked out which later turned out to be correct, as we shall explain in the next report.

Continuation CHARMING OF REPTILES
In the preceding report we sent you we made a summary of the investigations carried out by our brothers YOA 6 and EMEE 48 in a small town near AHMADABAD (INDIA), aimed at analysing one of the most praised and best known performances of the so-called "Hindu magicians": The charming of pieces of rope that crawl and sway to the rhythm of the music "as if they were snakes."
Our brothers' study proved fruitless. Neither the images obtained secretly with the help of our UULUEUUA (Equipment used by us which can rise to a great height and whose automatic movements are programmed inside it) nor the later analyses of the ground and of the small fibres of rope, from which our brothers could only deduce that they were plaited with filaments of a plant registered by terrestrial botanists under the name of "Corchorus capsularis". Nothing in particular was found in the samples, even though they were subjected to careful study. Some fibres were attacked by a kind of fungus registered under the name of "Macrohominia phaseoli", and some harmless bacteria. The adhering fragments of earth corresponded to the ground explored, and some residues of fatty esters did not seem to have any relation to the phenomenon. The only abnormal thing found was that the fibre examined was mixed with a certain percentage of esparto, a plant not generally used in the region for the manufacture of ropes.
On 23 September 1957 our brothers decided to confirm the only plausible hypothesis, obtained by intellectual means after the empirical methods for detecting the fraud had failed. There was of course another possibility: that they found themselves at last facing an authentic parapsychological phenomenon of transcendental importance. However, the sad experience of previous episodes related to other supposed cases which later turned out to be fraudulent, and the nature of the phenomenon being studied, led them to foresee that that effect could be explained by means of a natural process, in which conjuring or illusionism managed to cause a distorted perception. The possibility of collective Suggestion in the case of our brothers also had to be ruled out, apart from the fact that the images obtained corroborated the unviability of this last hypothesis.
For this they arranged a new meeting with the SHAGAT who had performed the "wonder" days before. The price agreed was one hundred and ten pounds sterling. Our brothers' suspicions were confirmed and enriched with many more details.
Let us see how that Hindu operated:
Early in the morning he went to the ground where the session was later to be held. There he made a series of preparations which we shall describe later. This man used to hold his rope charmings in the early hours of the afternoon. He carried his basket, whose drawing we gave with coloured pencils in the previous report. (You will remember that in the base there was a circular hole about three centimetres in diameter.)
Inside he carried a rope coarsely woven with several plaits of jute and esparto, which he had previously cut into pieces about sixty to seventy centimetres long.
The Shagat freely showed the ropes to the bystanders, who naturally found nothing abnormal. The spectators, however, placed themselves at a sufficient distance so that they could not notice the contents of the basket. This, on the other hand, aroused no suspicion or distrust whatever, for moments before everyone had been able to put his hand inside, rummage among the ropes and examine the basket if they wished. As, moreover, the Hindu at once placed the basket cleanly on the ground without touching its inside at all, and then moved away from it, further precautions seemed superfluous.
It was regrettable that the images obtained with our UULUEWUAA did not record the inside of the basket during the process. You will understand this kind of error if we explain to you in broad outline how our UULUEWUAA work. They are devices generally of spheroidal shape and of various calibres (of the order of a few centimetres). Inside them various control devices are arranged.
A UULODOO capable of recording sequences of images in three dimensions and retransmitting them instantaneously or at a deferred interval.
A UAXOO IXINAA, a kind of differential microphone made up of 734 resonance cells, each sensitized to a very restricted range of acoustic frequencies. The field of hearing extends from 16 cycles per second to 19500 cycles per second. The compensated levels (with practically flat response) have a lower threshold of six decibels and an upper cut-off level of 118 decibels. (The cells recording infrasonic frequencies, owing to their small dimensions, do not work with their own resonance).
An IBOAYA NOA UAXOO, a (point) liquid-helium detector capable of recording electromagnetic frequencies extending from the range you call centimetric to near the beta band. The recording equipment discriminates frequencies, amplitude and phase, simultaneously monitoring the time at which the detection took place.
Multiple-band emitter, gravitational wave generator, for communication with the control organs, and retransmitter of the information recorded by the various devices.
In addition it is provided with gravitational level equipment, which allows the UULUEWUUA to keep at various programmed heights by recording the gravitational field, and with the corresponding propulsion device. The field is measured by means of a miniaturized accelerometer which assesses the constant "g" at each point, monitoring the free-fall behaviour of a molecule of (SCN)_2 Hg (Mercury Thiocyanate). See appendix 1.
Now then: The equipment moves by means of two modes of control. In certain cases a high-frequency gravitational Field transceiver emits coded control pulses which are automatically corrected when the UULUEWUA is in the vicinity of an obstacle. The operator in charge of the equipment situated on the Earth can see on a screen the whole visual field detected by the small UULUEWAA. This method, however, is seldom used, since it demands the continuous attention of an OEMII.
In general the spatial route of the apparatus is programmed beforehand inside the UULUEWUAA. For this it is supplied with a sequence of images corresponding to the topography of the ground, which is to serve as a guide to the apparatus. This succession of images has fixed on it the planned trajectory that the miniaturized vehicle is to follow. This information is memorized in a cell of chemically pure crystallized titanium.
How does the UULUEWUAA travel that same trajectory fixed beforehand? Remember that it is provided with a UULODOO (a kind of cinematographic camera known to terrestrials, whose essential differences from these lie in the fact that the optical objective is not made up of glass lenses and that the film sensitized with silver salts has been replaced by a screen that translates the reception of photons into electrical pulses, like a Television iconoscope but by a different process).
Well then: while the camera moves, it gathers successive images of the topography of the places it passes through. This UULODOO extends its sensitometric sensitivity up to frequencies of 7.1012 cycles per second (Infrared spectrum), so that orientation in complete subjective darkness is assured.
Such images are "superimposed" on those recorded in the memory, which in turn had previously been taken by another UULUEWUA remotely guided from the control base. The optical equipment scans both images. When the former do not coincide with those memorized, control pulses correct the trajectory in the propulsion and steering equipment. The device is designed so that small topographical variations (change of furniture, vehicles, changes of position of rocks, etc.) do not alter the result unless they represent a serious obstacle to the trajectory of the mobile. In this way the UULUEWUA can orient its own movements without conscious external control, without prejudice to its being controlled again at some point of its trajectory. (We rarely use electromagnetic waves for remote control on UMMO. The use of gravitational frequencies, although they suffer from the drawback that their energy is very much smaller, has the advantage that they are free from parasitic disturbances).
Thus you can better understand that one of these unguided UULEEWUAA may fail in its task of recording images if its exploration route was not programmed exactly beforehand. That is precisely what happened in the case in question.
Once the SHAGAT has withdrawn from his basket, he begins to emit, modulating it with his lips, a whistle poor in harmonics (Fundamental frequency: 750 cycles per second.)
From the basket come out the supposed ropes, crawling with difficulty and obeying the sound fluctuations of the whistle emitted by the Hindu.
What has happened? In reality the apparent ropes that come out of the basket are not the same ones that lie at the bottom of it. They are snakes known to terrestrial ophiologists, who classify them within the family Colubridae, genus OPHEODRYS, with greenish scales, whose lengths range between 40 and 70 cm. (not provided with poisonous fangs) and easy to tame.
The Hindu magicians subject them to a long process of training by means of conditioned reflexes. Being very sensitive to heat, they are induced by a series of punishments, when they do not obey, to submit to the rhythmic movements imposed while they hear the modulations of the whistle. The Shagat uses boiling water to frighten them.
Once they have been trained in this way, a second process of training begins. For this they are covered with a sheath of plaited esparto and jute which leaves free only the ventral zone of the snake. (IMAGE one)

This sheath is stuck to the scales by means of a very adhesive gelatinous substance which the Hindus obtain by macerating and boiling two plant species (The SHAGAT did not provide more data and asked for more money, an offer that was refused). In this way the reptile, from afar, with its artificial covering, looks like a normal piece of rope.
In the morning the SHAGAT hides his snakes in a small excavation in the ground. He covers it with a perforated board and disguises the surface with mud and stones (IMAGE two)

he has previously sprayed them with a hypnogenic solution that makes them drowsy for a few hours. When he is going to hold the session, he takes good care to place the basket with its central hole coinciding with the mark he makes on the ground indicating the position of the hole. Unobtrusively he opens with his finger that perforation in the board (deliberately plugged with a lump of wet mud). The snakes can then come out at the acoustic orders of their master, and go back into the artificial burrow once the magic act is over.

PARAPSYCHOLOGY AND CONJURING
Undoubtedly, as we have informed you throughout the previous studies, it is necessary, when we find ourselves on Planet Earth, to analyse with extraordinary prudence and tact every human testimony in favour of a claimed parapsychological phenomenon.
It is in this way that it will be possible for you to find, among a vast number of rare and improbable events, some marvellous examples of human behaviour not today governed by the laws stated by Official Science.
The true drama of which terrestrial scientists are the protagonists is centred precisely on the fact that the object of this kind of research is precisely a terrestrial human being. With his defects inherent in those of the Social Network in which it has fallen to him to live. That is: His SELFISHNESS, which inhibits him from giving his disinterested collaboration to some studious analysts whose only objective consists in extending the frontiers of Knowledge. His mythomaniac, megalomaniac or exhibitionist tendencies, which impel him to narrate imaginary events (Fruit of his mind or inventiveness) in order to be the target of the morbid interest and curiosity of his brothers of Earth.
How many cases will you not have recorded of GEE or YIE (Men and women) who narrate extravagant and no less tantalizing episodes of which they claim to have been reliable witnesses. Miraculous cures, strange apparitions, Premonitions about future events which they then say were fulfilled with mathematical precision. Most probably they simply heard such events told by a relative or a neighbour, and to reinforce their testimony before their listener they swear up and down that they saw it. They go as far as the hysteroid state of the narrator talking himself into it and believing that he has indeed been a genuine witness.
Moreover: As you place so much emphasis on a mistaken concept of personal honour, on declaring before someone that one has been a witness of one of these marvellous pseudo-parapsychological episodes and observing the listener's gesture of disbelief, you feel automatically offended; you forget for a moment the narration itself in order to defend at all costs your outraged personal honour. Some terrestrials, on meeting this sceptical attitude on the part of those who listen to them, make the following reasoning without expressing it.
"Indeed I am lying: But once I have maintained this position, it is necessary to preserve my personal prestige. If I humbly confess that I have lied, I shall suffer the corresponding humiliation and will never recover that credit. Besides, this is not true, but it could really have happened, and by distrusting my word he is offending me all the same."
We then see this terrestrial brother of yours go through a long process of temporary imbalance of his nervous system (You call it FRUSTRATION), in which the individual becomes flushed, shouts and releases his nervous energy in the form of unharmonious movements of the hands, gesticulating and spluttering his oral expression in a disorderly way. He loses control of his reasoning and can hardly formulate convincing reasonings in support of his testimony. He limits himself to insisting on GRATUITOUS ASSERTIONS which prove nothing, and to uttering threats against those who do not willingly accept his testimony.
Thus you will find people who tell you of cases of levitation during the cataleptic process (HYPNOSIS), swearing that they even possess photographs and documents from specialists or written testimonies from notaries confirming it.
Then try the test of asking them at that moment for such graphic and written documentation, giving them a few days to show it. In the great majority of cases they begin by raising objections, pretend to have lost such proofs, to have lent them or not to have time to show them to you. In short their excuses serve to identify the lie or the fraud.
Let us add to all this megalomania and lack of sincerity the attitude of certain Psychopathic syndromes, of Paramnesias and hallucinations proper to some neuropsychiatric disturbances, and you will notice with how much suspicion it is necessary to act in this kind of research,
Persons poorly endowed intellectually, the mentally weak and OEMII with an average intelligence quotient, usually slide in such cases down these two slopes.
Sometimes, trying to be too clever by half (as a popular expression of the Country Spain has it), they proclaim to the four winds their scepticism, mocking such parapsychological experiences bitterly and bringing forward to refute them simplistic, naive, pseudoscientific arguments with a very poor and vulgar dialectical structure.
We have found among individuals of Spanish nationality many and varied examples of this foolish attitude. Almost all of them of low intellectual training. With Spanish secondary-school studies, and even university studies (That is to say, individuals whose university training has been limited to being able to pass the aptitude tests fraudulently, but at bottom with a deficient neurocortical structure)
Well then: Such persons mercilessly mock everything they have not been able to verify with their own eyes. For them the existence of fakirs walking on embers is pure legend. Of Yogis who reach certain phases of somatic self-control. Telepathic communications carried out by military researchers. The existence of other civilizations on stars of the UAAM (UNIVERSE), and they even doubt the existence of historical personages of this Planet.
Their supreme argument - We repeat - is this: I HAVE NOT SEEN IT and I ONLY BELIEVE WHAT I SEE. Any university graduate in Philosophy could quickly refute this very stupid fallacy. For if they are indeed consistent with that sophism, they ought to doubt the existence of the Northern Lights, because they have never travelled to those latitudes; of the filterable virus that causes Poliomyelitis among you, because they have never gone near an electron microscope; and of the existence of Pascal, Newton or Quevedo, because they did not live in that period to see them with their eyes. It is of course not worth our while to dwell on refuting an argument so lacking in solidity.
And yet the display that certain Hindu ascetics, and many young people of various European and Asian regions, make by walking on burning embers is precisely not a fraud.
Of course in this case, contrary to popular opinion, it is far from being a genuine parapsychological phenomenon. Indeed: The high temperature causes copious exudation on the feet. You know, on the other hand, that liquids can be good conductors of heat, like mercury. Not so water, even with certain salts dissolved in it, as in the case of human sweat. Water is a magnificent thermal insulator when it is in the state of small (Almost microscopic) droplets. These watery spheres of small radius (of the order of 0.07 mm) cannot conduct heat by convection as in the case of a large mass of water. (Remember that you call convection certain internal currents of liquid that are produced when there are temperature gradients between two points of that mass) Well then: A drop of water, on the other hand, is (when such conditions are met) as insulating as certain terrestrial plastics (Polyvinyl chloride). But yet another effect is produced, registered by the Physicists of Earth under the name of FILM EFFECT.
You can verify this by pouring a few drops of water on a hot plate (At about 300 degrees C.). They seem to bounce several times without evaporating. What happens is that the outer crust of the watery spherule evaporates. This layer of gas is so insulating and elastic that it protects the liquid core of the drop (COLD) even more.
These drops of sweat pass into the spheroidal state, protecting the epidermis of the sole of the foot. You will obtain the same effect by putting a lighted match inside your mouth. If the tongue remains moist, no erosion at all is produced.
We shall tell you another day how snake charmers manage to animate pieces of rope, and the spiritist tricks for obtaining spiritist photographs without resorting to double exposure on silver gelatino-bromide plates.
In the preceding reports we have commented on some experiences called parapsychological by terrestrials, of which we have been witnesses.
Throughout the typed lines you may - in spite of our repeated objections to the contrary - have wrongly deduced that we brothers of UMMO are systematically reluctant to admit the genuineness of such phenomena. It may seem that in unmasking some typical frauds carried out by impostor fakirs and mediums, we are trying to ridicule our terrestrial brothers for their fatuity and their insincerity.
But such an appreciation - if you take the trouble to check our earlier references and carry out an elementary critical analysis - lacks consistency.
Our humanity within the OYAGAA (PLANET) that shelters us has come to reach a very high scientific and technological level if you consider it from a point of view relative to that of the Social Network of Planet Earth, but you yourselves could deduce without great effort that in absolute terms that evolution is minute compared with the possibilities of the human being. The longed-for goal of every man, TO KNOW THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH, is probably unattainable. We can approach it asymptotically, but only WOA (GENERATOR or GOD) is capable of identifying Himself with it, and if we can be sure of anything it is of the existence of insuperable limitations for man on his path to the knowledge of the WAAM (COSMOS) and of the WAAMWAAM (PLURICOSMOS).
For that very reason it would be senseless to ignore that there are facets of Nature which constitute inaccessible mysteries, even by our scientific methods. If we hear from the lips of a terrestrial that a healer from the suburbs of a large Italian City has been able to eliminate a Nephroblastoma of the kidney by applying his hands to the patient's side, we cannot in scientific rigour deny that possibility without prior study, and in fact we have recognized in some isolated case the reality of such kinds of cryptotherapeutics.
But if, unfortunately, using means of control unknown to you, we verify sometimes fraud, and at other times that the supposed cure is the consequence of hallucinogenic factors and of suggestion, which allow the temporary recession of the symptoms, especially of pain (and all of you know how many means there are for eliminating it by procedures studied in Psychosomatic Medicine), while the tumour remains latent, What do you think our conclusion must then be?
The very scientists and scholars of EARTH show themselves, like us, cautious before cheerfully accepting such occultist procedures. You yourselves can adduce thousands of examples: In the terrestrial years corresponding to the Postwar period of 1939 1945 there proliferated in the United States many healers who claimed to cure Poliomyelitis.
Let us accept for a moment that NONE OF THEM WAS AN IMPOSTOR; let us accept (since it would be impossible to examine case by case whether the cure was achieved or was pure suggestion) that all the UUGEEYIE (CHILDREN) were treated effectively until the total disappearance of the syndrome.
Now examine the quantitative data on the number of patients with Infantile paralysis in those days, and compare them with the statistics of poliomyelitis patients in 1967 after the repeated application of your modern Vaccines, studied NOT BY HEALERS BUT BY TRUE SCIENTISTS.
The evidence is so overwhelming that only by being very blind, or by being a fanatic or an alienated person, can one admit that the esoteric path is more effective than the scientific one. Crystal clear and without mysterious veils to hide it.
To put it another way. We admit that in the mysteries of Nature there may lie latent that possibility of cures inaccessible to ordinary Scientists and open to certain persons (even ignorant ones) possessing marvellous faculties. But those "marvellous" persons do not exist on UMMO, and on EARTH, when they appear, they are not capable of developing a vaccine that will protect millions of children from an invasion of viruses. At most they achieve a small series of cures, many of which (not to say all) are unmasked as fraudulent.
And we now ask you: Is not, then, that contempt of intelligent terrestrial persons for everything that means admitting the diffuse and vague hypotheses of the defenders of quackery and esotericism logical?
But here is a new point of disagreement with those intelligent persons who "deny bread and salt" (in a terrestrial expression) to such hypotheses. It is undoubtedly as aberrant to become enthusiastic about the childish theories of Necromancy, Occultism, Astrology, Spiritism etc., believing their postulates to the letter and without the least criticism, admitting all the superstitious popular beliefs handed down from generation to generation by the peasant social groups of certain backward tribes, as to reject them outright, considering them lacking in all rational sense.
We ourselves have verified, and of course many Terrestrial scientists have been forced to admit, that a percentage - although small - of such beliefs have been verified as having a serious real basis.
We can assert some cases to you, although all of you will know a rich casuistry that confirms our observation. Thus none of you can be unaware that the fishermen of some Hellenic islands used mouldy Bread to staunch wounds, which provoked the pedantic smile of some Greek doctors who learned of the rustic custom, until Sir Alexander Fleming applied certain strains of the fungus Penicillium notatum in his experiments aimed at the destruction of germs called by terrestrials gram-positive.
The cases could be multiplied, for there were many Norwegian doctors who scorned the popular custom of the coastal inhabitants of the Fjords of giving cod liver to young children... and many scientists who ridiculed the Germanic legends about lunatic individuals had at last to admit the influence of the Gravitational Field of the Terrestrial Satellite on certain tumours of the cerebral cortex, when these are compressed by the selenic action on the cranial vault.
We were telling you that a few months ago we were analysing the scientific bases of some of these beliefs. Thus for example in Japan there exists an old therapeutic tradition deeply rooted among some peasants.
This rustic procedure is called "KHUROYAKI". The natives make some rough ceramic vessels, which they fill with a multiplicity of substances according to the illness they wish to cure. Thus they may put in some species of reptiles, turtle eggs, leaves and roots of plants, jaws of some vertebrates, bamboo canes, earthworms, etc, etc,
Immediately they hermetically seal the opening of the vessel with clay, and when this has dried they heat the vessel with earth to a very high temperature; the vessel is at last broken, and its carbonized contents are used as an "effective" therapeutic remedy.
The analysis made by us showed the abnormal presence of some radioactive isotopes in a percentage greater than that obtained from those same substances subjected to cremation in the free presence of Oxygen.
Chemical elements that disappeared through volatilization in that case were nevertheless found in the KHUROYAKI. Indeed, we verified that it was naive to think that such by-products of cremation were effective in many of the ailments postulated by the peasants, but that in certain illnesses they really had a real therapeutic value.
The popular beliefs of Terrestrials cannot therefore be scorned "a priori". We, on the contrary, exhort you to analyse them attentively before mocking them. An indefinite percentage of them undoubtedly have efficient application, although also in many cases modern techniques far surpass their weak effects. None of you is unaware of the effectiveness of many medicinal plants taken as infusions, but only Science is capable of obtaining the maximum yield through the synthesis or extraction of the chemical compounds that constitute their genuine pharmacological essence.
In sum. If we suggest these ideas to you, it is not so that you should scorn the hidden possibilities of the WAAM. To try to explain the reality of the facts scientifically is a fallacy, for we continually glimpse that the area of the unknown laws of the Universe becomes ever more immense to our senses as we advance timidly in study; but so that you may know how to find your way with moderation and objectivity in that immense forest of terrestrial beliefs where, among the tangled undergrowth of frauds and inconsistent superstition, it is undoubtedly possible to find beautiful and rare plants that reflect a little of that Absolute Truth which we are all seeking day after day.
Flee, then, from all extremism. Flee both from excessive credulity, which impels you to accept as good any assertion of your brother without first carrying out a serious and impartial study, and from fanatical scepticism, which suggests that you mercilessly mock everything that does not pass directly under the direct control of touch, of your retina or of your organs of Corti. To believe that only what is seen or touched is to be accepted is proper to oligophrenic mentalities, and if you, for professional reasons or lack of time, cannot or are not qualified to carry out such studies, such systematic and scientific verifications, adopt a prudent attitude of listening, show yourselves open to the possible truth without daring either to deny or to accept that possibility outright.
